A BIT ABOUT ME

Since graduating from art college with a BA(with Hons) Degree in Fine Art, I have  been working as a professional artist.My first job was as an Assistant Scenic Artist at the Thorndike Theatre in Leatherhead and after two years I left and set my sights on joining the BBC as a Scenic Artist.
I joined the Scenic Art Department at the BBC where I stayed on contracts for three years and left to go freelance.
I have been working freelance ever since 1992, working mainly ibn television with the contacts I made whilst at the BBC.
A break on the early 2000s to have my children lead me to work from home on my own paintings and for commissions.
I now teach from my studio at home and work from time to time at the University of Surrey where I work as a freelance Scenic Artist and as a part time associate teacher teaching scenic art on the BA Technical Production course.
I continue to paint for myself and to commission. I mainly work in oils, but alos love painting in any medium, including watercolour and gouache. More recently, I have been working on a series of illustrations based on trips abroad.
